Samsung will delete all photos from Samsung Cloud

Samsung will no longer allow photos to be stored on Samsung Cloud.

Samsung announced this afternoon that Samsung Cloud will focus on providing basic backup, sync and restore functionality for mobile phone data such as contacts and notes. On August 31, 2021, Samsung Cloud will no longer support the "sync albums" feature.

Samsung Cloud said the company will actively coordinate the rollout of local online storage services in China to provide users with high-volume album storage services. In the future, users will be able to store backup album data using local Chinese online storage. There is no information about other countries yet.

As of December 1, 2020, newly registered Samsung users will not be able to use the Samsung Cloud Album Sync feature. As of June 1, 2021, the Samsung Cloud Album Sync feature will be discontinued for existing users, but albums can still be downloaded. As of August 31, 2021, the Samsung Cloud Album Sync feature will be completely discontinued, and all photos and albums will be removed from the Samsung Cloud.
